Lil Wayne’s Movie “Hurricane Season” Is Coming To Theaters!
September 4th, 2009
admin Lil Wayne & Bow Wow are starring in the upcoming Hurricane Season, the basketball film starring Bow Wow, Forest Whitaker and Lil Wayne was being shelved by the Weinstein Company because the film studio could not afford to market and distribute it. At that time, The Weinstein’s were facing dire financial hardship and had invested a big part of their theatrical marketing spend in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards. If Tarantino’s film failed, films like Hurricane Season would go from shelved to sold off in a matter of months….luckily for the studio, Inglorious Bastards will turn a profit as it already has grossed over $140 million world-wide and cost $70 million to make.
So what does this mean for Hurricane Season? It means The Weinsteins will have replenished funds to release and market a select few of their upcoming titles and we have the exclusive drop that Hurricane Season is one of them that will be resurrected. In other words you, yes you, will have the opportunity to watch Lil Wayne play a seventeen year old high school student who hates his school’s basketball team AND you will get to see Bow Wow play a star player on the team.
The Real Reason Bow Wow Joined Cash Money Records

Recently rapper Bow Wow made headlines when he announced he was joining the Cash Money family, however some of those headlines were not good ones. Now Bow Wow is speaking out about his decision to join the record label, and he wants the critics to know he “has been down with Cash Money” for a long time.
Check out this quote from a recent blog he did for Global Grind.
To anyone who’s confused or says I don’t belong in Cash Money…Let me remind you that I’ve been down with Baby, Slim, Wayne and the whole Cash Money family from the beginning. 10 years ago when we really were “Lil” me and Wayne did a song for the Hardball movie soundtrack. Baby was influential in my third album. Last year, Wayne and I spent 2 months together in New Orleans filming Hurricane Season. So please don’t be misinformed and think I’m just jumpin’ on “what’s hot” or trying to ride others success. This has been my extended family for more than a decade.
What do you guys think? Is he going to be making hit records with the Cash Money family and Lil Wayne?
Bow Wow Signs With Cash Money Records!!

It was common knowledge that Bow Wow and Columbia Records had run their course as business partners. What wasn’t so known was the destination of his new musical home. In breaking news, hip-hop’s youngest veteran will now be taking his recording services to Cash Money. Moments ago, the protege’ of Jermaine Dupri broke the news, via his Twitter page:

Bow Wow has officially signed to Young Money
Explaining the reason for his silence, Bow Wow simply stated on his YouTube channel he was using the time for thinking and organizing.
“People have been wondering where I’ve been,” the rapper said in a video. “For the past days, I’ve been here, keeping away from all human contact. Thinking. Strategizing my next move. I’ll come out of hiding when it is time. This is a new me. A new look, for now. This is all you see. The mystery continues.”
Cash Money Records will now be looking at a roster touting three of the biggest names, at least commercially, in the industry in Lil Wayne, Drake and Bow Wow.
